Libélula is a 100% Mexican brand created by Sofía Álvarez. Sofía studied communication at IBERO University in Mexico City and then took a Diploma on Stone Setting at Kristin Hanson Fine Jewelry in New York. Later, she studied at the Gemological and High Clockwork Institute of Mexico: Valuation, Gemology and Color Stones, Diamond Valuation and Pearl Valuation. At the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A) she attended the "Accredited Jewelry Professional" program (A.J.P) Libélula has 3 main business branches. The first one is the collections which have a specific theme, the second is Atelier where we create One Of A Kind pieces, and finally custom made Engagement Rings, designed to give them greater personality. Libélula jewelry pieces have appeared in magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, InStyle, among others.
